Share the Art, an International, Interdisciplinary Chinese Calligraphy Project was made possible by a
grant from the Cave Creek Unified Education Foundation. This exciting project brought together the Art and Chinese Departments at Sonoran Trails Middle
School in Cave Creek, Arizona with our overseas sister school, No. Six School in Ychang, Hubei
Province, China.

A $3,000 grant from CCUEF purchased authentic Chinese calligraphy brushes,

specialty paper and art materials.

Prior to this grant, the STMS Chinese students could only watch videos about these ancient
and honored cultural practices.

Thanks to CCUEF, from here forward, Chinese art and calligraphy will be a hands-on part of the curriculum for Sonoran Trails Middle School Chinese students.

We are proud to support innovation in our classrooms through funding this project that brought
Art, Technology, History, World Languages, and students from across the globe together.

The Board of Trustees here at CCUEF would like to thank the community for your support that
has made this grant possible. Xie Xie!
