According to recent U.S. Census data, the number of Hispanic 18- to 24-year-olds enrolled in college has reached a new high — 2.4 million — and has been growing since 2009.

To enable the continuation of this trend, Hispanic Scholarship Fund partnership with Wells Fargo, will host College Camp Phoenix, a free, bilingual college preparedness workshop for local students and their families from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11 at Memorial Union Hall at Arizona State University in Tempe.

Memorial Union Hall is located at 1151 South Forest Avenue in Tempe.

The all-day session will be led by college representatives, community leaders and business professionals – qualified experts who will provide answers to questions about planning and paying for college.

Hundreds of Hispanic students and parents have already registered and more are expected to attend.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund and Wells Fargo are committed to providing resources to help middle school and high school students achieve academic success.

College Camp provides participants with the tools and information needed to navigate their own path to a higher education.
