Camelback hosted the Phoenix Union District Student Government Conference, February 19 for 14 student governments.

Students attended workshops and listened to speakers.

The event started with a performance from the National Comedy Theatre, showcasing performers from Camelback.  The group then held a workshop for the students about “Finishing Strong.”

The conference finished strong with a music festival presented by the High School Nation Tour.

Camelback students and staff were invited to join the festivities on the Spartan Football field for a free music and arts assembly and concert with interactive experiences to raise awareness and support for music and arts in schools.

In addition to the event, High School Nation donated funds and equipment to Camelback.

There were artist interviews, art demonstrations, student performances, singing and dancing contests, and a game zone. Students and staff could visit the Gibson guitar tour bus which has iconic Gibson guitars on display.

Camelback was one of 25 schools selected for the High School Nation tour stop.
