Bioscience will hold its 7th annual Evening of the Arts on Friday, April 25, which showcases artwork from its creative students, along with spoken word and performance art.
The event has grown annually, making it a much-anticipated evening by students, staff, parents, and the surrounding community.
Evening of the Arts, according to student David Hernandez, is “interesting because you get to see other sides of students.”
Bioscience High School’s mission embraces literacies across disciplines, embracing and encouraging the creative development of students.
An event like Evening of the Arts provides an outlet for students to sing, dance, paint, or otherwise express themselves in personal and authentic ways.
Stephanie Grijalva, who facilitates the art program at Bioscience, says “Evening of the Arts allows to students to zero in on what interests students most, giving them the freedom to explore their personal creativity.”
