Arizona Rep. T.J. Shope will offer a floor amendment Wednesday that would repeal an Arizona law that restricts how same-sex relationships can be discussed in school health classes. The amendment is a response to a lawsuit filed by LGBTQ rights groups claiming the law discriminates against LGBTQ students. Sometimes called “no promo homo” or “anti-gay curriculum” laws, they specifically say schools cannot “promote a homosexual lifestyle” in health classes.
