Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman is encouraging candidates interested in working in Arizona public schools to attend the statewide Arizona Educator Job Fair on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel, hosted the Arizona Department of Education (ADE).
“We know that schools only function with the hard work of our teachers and school staff. Events such as these job fairs are incredible opportunities to not only find a job, but a new community of professional support within Arizona’s public schools,” said Superintendent Hoffman.
“I am hopeful this event will offer potential educators the opportunity to leave with an excellent job and an opportunity to have a profound impact on their community and their future students,” Supt. Hoffman said.
Currently, 105 public districts, charters, and 9 Bureau of Indian Education schools and approximately 500 candidates are registered to attend the job fair.
Job seekers will be able to explore available positions, submit their resume, visit employer booths to speak with employers and find out more about the communities and schools.
The attending schools will be able to issue letters of intent and job offers to prospective teachers, pending background checks.
Representatives from ADE’s Certification Section will also be online to counsel attendees on becoming a certified teacher in Arizona.
Additionally, finger printing opportunities will be on site for interested applicants.
