The Summer Collegiate Academy is a unique five-week, non-residential summer program at Arizona State University for high achieving, current high school students.
This program invites students to fast-track their future, earn college credit, gain valuable skills for college success, explore majors, establish a relationship with ASU faculty and staff and complete a capstone project to research careers and set goals for next steps.
Cost: $500 per class.Tuition for this program is significantly reduced through the generous scholarship support of ASU.
Our program dates are June 1-July 3, 2015 at ASU Tempe & at ASU West. Applications are due no later than April 27, 2015.
Classes offered at ASU Tempe:
• Applied Linear Algebra
• Calculus for Engineers I
• Exploration of Education
• Introduction to Psychology
• Pre-Calculus for STEM majors
• Sustainable Cities
Classes offered at ASU West:
• Calculus with Analytical Geometry I for Applied Math majors and Applied Computing majors
• General Biology I for Forensics and STEM majors
• General Chemistry I for Pre-Health and STEM majors
In addition, high school students can also take part in the Summer Experience at ASU West in two sessions this summer.
The interactive pre-college experience gives students a sneak preview of university life, an opportunity to explore careers and majors, conduct academic research, meet ASU West students and visit the Sun Devil Fitness Complex.
The first session, an overnight program from students in 11th and 12th grade, runs from June 9 through 11 at ASU West, costs $50 and includes two nights in residential housing and meals.
The second session, which is a day program open for students in 9th through 12th grade, runs from June 16 through 18 at ASU West, costs $25 and meals are not included.
The deadline to apply for the Summer Experience is May 1.
