According to Arizona Connections Academy Principal Kerri Wright, it’s important for families considering full-time virtual schools to attend one of the school’s online or in-person information sessions or parent-to-parent meetings, which take place in a more casual setting.

“Families really get a feel for what to expect and what’s involved in online education so they can determine if it is the best fit for their child,” said Wright. “Planning ahead and understanding how it all works is essential to ensuring the academic and emotional success of students enrolled in a virtual school.”

Arizona Connections Academy’s information sessions cover a variety of topics, including the school’s program and curriculum, how teachers interact with students in a virtual environment, social events, such as field trips and clubs, and other relevant topics. Because Arizona Connections Academy is a virtual school, it is available to K-12 students who reside anywhere in Arizona. Tuition is free, and enrolled students receive a computer and books at no charge.
