Arcadia students win Valley Metro student art contest

Arcadia High School students John Reniewicki, Tia Schmittenberg and Sophia Lindemann were the top three winners of the Valley Metro “Design A Transit Wrap” Student Art Contest.

Phoenix Metro CEO Steve Banta, Scottsdale Councilmember Suzanne Klapp, Phoenix Councilmember Thelda Williams,  Arcadia administrators, teacher Dianna Cure, parents and other students will honor the winners at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24,  at Arcadia High School at 4703 E. Indian School Road in Phoenix.

High school students across the Valley competed to have their art work exhibited on Valley Metro buses for the Annual Bus Wrap Design Contest.

As the top winner, John Reniewicki’s design will be used to adorn a Phoenix Metro bus. The decorated bus will be on display at Arcadia.
