Fenlon is planning on going to Arizona State University in the next year to study conservation biology and ecology. He submitted a one-minute video entry about what he would use the scholarship for.

“The thing that worries me most about college is, of course, small fees,” Fenlon said in his entry video. “Not necessarily tuition and room and board, but small fees like commencement fees, transportation fees, lab fees.”
“Things that are like the nucleating particles of a cloud that water molecules can just get larger and larger,” Fenlon said. “That’s what I’d like the scholarship for to make that nucleus smaller and less likely to form clouds of trouble.”
“I’d like to use the scholarship to cover those unexpected costs and thus make my dream of observing the world and studying science a bit more financially feasible,” Fenlon said.
The AZEdNews Scholarship sponsored by The Brand Agency is a quarterly opportunity for a public high school senior to be awarded $500 to apply toward their post-secondary education expenses at community colleges, trade schools, and universities.
“We are extremely happy to be partnering with AZEdNews on this scholarship program and look forward to helping more students each year attain their dreams,” said Chris Macomber, CEO of The Brand Agency.
The Brand Agency is a marketing company in Phoenix that works with a lot of different school districts and companies across the U.S. doing print, web and media advertisement and has done print and graphic development for ASBA for more than 10 years.

“I want to congratulate you first and foremost on winning the scholarship,” Macomber said to Fenlon. “We’ve partnered with AZEdNews in order to give these scholarships out to deserving students such as yourself.”
When Macomber asked Fenlon what he plans to study, Fenlon said “I want to major in conservation biology and I’m hoping to be able to do a 4+1 program at ASU to get my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in five years. After that, I want to work as a researcher.”
“That’s fantastic. That’s an awesome thing. We need those types of scientists out there and people out there to help with that right now especially as we go through global warming,” Macomber said.
“I hope I can do something that’s valuable,” Fenlon said.
Then Fenlon thanked Macomber for the scholarship.
“Thank you, again. I’m really grateful,” Fenlon said.
Arizona public high school seniors can apply now for AZEdNews Scholarships sponsored by The Brand Agency by submitting a video entry that is less than a minute long saying why they’d like the scholarship in from now until June 30, 2021.
