AASBO Announces Reduced School Aid Rollover

For the current year [FY 2022], the state aid rollover amount has been reduced by $65 million. The major impact of this change is that in FY 2022 districts with fewer than 2000 ADM will not be subject to the state aid rollover. For FY 2021, districts with fewer than 600 ADM were exempt from the rollover. This change will not increase spending limits but will help with cash flow. For the current year[FY 2022] the total rollover amount will be $865,727,700. Charter schools are not subject to the rollover.
