Williams Field High School’s Trey Leveque, a 2017 graduate, is one of two students in the nation to be selected as a 2017 Nat Geo Mundo Explorer.

As part of the award given through a joint effort of DIRECTV and 21st Century Fox’s Nat Geo Mundo channel, National Geographic will provide him with an all-expenses paid trip to Fiji through its Student Expeditions program. There, Leveque will work on improvement projects to help a village rebuild after a cyclone hit in 2016, while tutoring students in English and learning more about Fijian culture.

In addition, he received the ASU Alumni Association Medallion Scholar award and the ASU Public Service Academy placement. He was also been named a Bank of America Student Leader winner, with an opportunity to intern and attend the Student Leaders Summit in Washington D.C.

A few of Trey’s other honors:

Ken Vandehei Memorial Scholarship winner,
Burger King Scholarship winner,
Coca-Cola Scholarship semifinalist,
Flinn Scholar semifinalist,
HOBY Academic All-Star,
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation semifinalist, and
Friends of the Southeast Library Scholarship.
